P-Cresol(对甲酚)是一种与蛋白相结合的尿毒症保留溶质[1]。
在非糖尿病血液透析患者中,游离对甲酚被认为是一个心血管风险因素。在糖尿病患者中,游离对甲酚和总对甲酚的水平明显更高。在用血液透析进行治疗的病人中,游离对甲酚和总对甲酚的水平比用血液透析滤过(hemodiafiltration)治疗的病人中更高。单因素Cox比例风险分析表明,游离对甲酚的浓度与心血管疾病(CVD)显著相关。相当多的含有高浓度游离对甲酚的病人都有新的致命性或非致命性心血管事件发生。除此之外,游离对甲酚还可以抑制细胞增殖,它抑制了26%的培养内皮细胞的增殖,但不影响细胞活力。而且,对甲酚以10、25和50 μg/ml的剂量处理时分别减少了19%、28%和40%的内皮损伤修复[1][2]。
