Cell Counting Kit-8 (CCK-8) Plus是一种方便且灵敏的细胞增殖/毒性测定试剂盒。其使用了一种高水溶性的四唑盐，WST-8，它在电子耦合试剂存在下可被活细胞中丰富的脱氢酶还原，转化为甲臜形式，这是一种可溶于培养基的橙色染料。脱氢酶产生的甲臜的量与活细胞的数量呈直接的线性关系。
本试剂盒经过优化，仅需0.5-1 h孵育即可进行检测，比普通的CCK-8试剂盒更灵敏，检测速度更快，线性范围更宽。
