白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)也被称为catabolin,即由人类IL1B基因编码的细胞因子蛋白。IL-1β前体被caspase 1(白细胞介素1β的转化酶)分解,胞质硫醇蛋白酶分解其产物,形成成熟的IL-1β。IL-1β属于白细胞介素1细胞因子家族。这种细胞因子是炎症反应的重要调节剂,涉及各种细胞活动,包括细胞增殖、分化和凋亡。
